Judith is a local artist working from her studios in Sydney NSW Australia
Having lived abroad for several years in Ireland, the UK, France, Belgium and the U.S. where she opened and ran art studios, Judith returned to her native Australia in 2004. She is now based in Sydney and the Southern Highlands.
Judith works in oils making studies of local areas, from street scenes to cafes to seascapes, all with a curiosity about the slightly quirky side of life. Observing the strange in the familiar, she gives her compositions a liberal dose of peripheral vision, a trade mark of her style.
Perspective is bent to include key aspects of the scene, inviting the viewer into a more selective and private viewpoint – another dimension to the everydayness of life.
Judith's work has featured in several exhibitions in Sydney from her own gallery 'The Painted Door' in Seaforth, to Raglan Gallery in Manly, The Angel Restaurant Queenscliff, Sous le Soleil, Roseville, Marie France Group, West Pymble, as well as several group exhibitions at Loreto Kirribilli, Riverview, St Augustans, St Aloysius & the Clare Valley Rotary Art Show.
